The South Carolina Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Theta has many philantropies throughout the year. The chapter also participates in other greek and non-greek philanthropies. All proceeds go to the ALS Foundation in honor of Phi Delta Theta member and baseball great, Lou Gehrig.

Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Kappa Balloon Drive for Charity : .
Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Sigma Kappa Sorority will be selling balloons as sponsored by Chick Fil A of Clemson before football home games this year to raise money for their respective charities. A great way to have our Greek Organizations exposed themselves to a variety of Clemson Fans as well as other team's fans.
Phi Delta Theta and Chi Omega 5K Poker Run- October 17th, 2010 : .
Phi Delta Theta and Chi Omega will team up for the first annual 5k Poker Run at Clemson University. Prizes will be awarded to the contestants that place and have the best "playing hands." Also looking into having former Clemson Student, Margaret Durante perform after the event.
Phi Delta Theta's Lou Gehrig's Disease Awareness Weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium : .
The Brothers of Phi Delta Theta will work with the Clemson Athletic Department and the Clemson Baseball team to raise money and awareness for Lou Gehrig's Disease at a home series. Date is TBD.
Phi Delta Theta's UmpCares Awareness Weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium : .
The Brothers of Phi Delta Theta will work with the Clemson Athletic Department and the Clemson Baseball team to raise money and awareness for the charity Umps Care, a charity recognized by Major League Baseball and the Atlanta Braves at a home series. Date is TBD.
Phi Delta Theta's Sportsapalooza presented by ESPN 1440 : .
Phi Delta Theta will hold its first annual Sportsapalooza event on April 10th, 2011 to raise money and awareness for Lou Gehrig's Disease. It is a field day like event with multiple competitions such as a 3 Point Competition, Home Run Derby, NFL Skills Challenge to name a few. Other Clemson Organizations that will co-sponsor the event are WSBF, ClemsonLive, Central Spirit, and Clemson Club Teams. Business and Team sponsors include the Clemson Apple Store and Velocity Sports Performance to name a few. Potential sponsors are the Atlanta Braves, Hooters, and EA Sports.

Phi Delt 500 : .
Phi Delt 500 is a tricycle race for the sororities on campus. The week proceeding the races is fundraising for each of the teams. Whichever team raises the most money is crowned Miss Phi Delt 500. We also give out prizes for the race winners. Overall it is a great time and each year it keeps growing in size. During the 2007 running of the Phi Delt 500 we raised over $1000 towards ALS.
Chariots for Charity : .
Chariots for Charity is a chariot race for the fraternities on campus. Like the Phi Delt 500, the week proceeding the races is fundraising for each of the teams. Whichever team raises the most money is awarded a trophy. We also give out prizes for the race winners. Each year we work on expanding the event and making it something that no one wants to miss. During the 2006 running of Chariots for Charity we raised over $3000 towards ALS.
